What and what and what…
Today has been nuts. I’m not kidding.
I woke up 2 minutes before my alarm went off. Don’t you hate that?!?! I got ready and Bruce and I headed out the door at 7am. We went by my office to pick up some stuff that I needed for a 10am meeting. Then I took Bruce to the dog-sitter’s house. (I do this every day. Thanks Heidi!!) Then I headed out to my 8:30am meeting at Capin Crouse CPA. The non-profit that I work with just went through an audit this last week. So I am pretty much “finance”-ed out. Does that make sence? Anyways, we had to wrap up some loose ends this morning.
After that meeting, I dropped off our Book-keeper and headed to my 10am meeting. Alpha Relief is having this Banquet and I am sort-of in charge of. Monthly, I have to report to the people who are giving us a matching grant. That was my 10am meeting. It was fun… we talk, laugh, give advise… It is good, you know?
I grabbed lunch at Chick-fil-A, and headed to the office. This is where I sit now.
I’m tired. And now I have to create and send out our E-newsletter. We will see how creative it is…
Newsletter Day…
Well, I’m at work. Surprise, surprise.
I just checked my buddies blogs… shouts out to Marijke and Davita. Funny, you both live in Alaska. Maybe I should move there.
Ok, so today is Newsletter Day and I wanted to share it with you. Newsletter day at Alpha Relief is a combination of hard work and lots of fun! There are about 420 people on our newsletter list that receive a paper copy, thus we spend the day printing, folding, stuffing and talking and laughing. Sometimes, we will take the newsletter pieces to Scott’s house or my house and watch a movie and eat pizza.
Days like Newsletter Day are fun, because it is a break from our normal routines.
Everyone should have Newsletter Day.
My Roller Coaster Life
Up and down… up and down… Why is it always like that?
Move. Find a job I love. Move. House? Job? AHHHH!
For those of you who don’t know, my husband is going to be a Colorado State Trooper. It will be way cool and he is happy. That is good.
We will be moving to the Glenwood Springs, CO area and we want to buy a house. Have you looked for a house up there?!?! They are freaking expensive. We can afford a trailer. In a trailer park. The ones outside the trailer park are too expensive.
Ok, it’s not THAT bad. But it is pretty depressing. So…I’m pretty depressed about that.
On the other hand, I get to keep my job!! I will be one of the few and proud that will be able to work from home! Won’t that be fun? Well, that is if I have a home after I move. I might be living in a tent. With no electricity.
That’s my life today. Things will be up tomorrow… because it is aroller coaster life.
Take a look at the house we want to check out this weekend HERE. Feel free to remind me how expensive it is.
